Kiddies to Adults
The Ren and Stimpy Show was created by John Kricfalusi in 1991 on Niclelodeon. It ended in 1996 with five seasons in all. It was a huge hit. Ren and Stimpy are both iconic characters of the 90s. The show had a huge fan base. But the show ended.
Later in 2003 appearing on Spike TV as a "Adult" version called Ren and Stimpy the Adult Party Show. Its over the top with dark humor, cartoon nudity, sex and violence. John K the Adult Party Show is how he wanted the show to be like. But back in the 90s there were over the top censoring on Nick. Sadly the show was to over the top for Spike TV as well it was canceled and banned after only two episodes airing.
Overall I have always loved Ren and Stimpy. They are a fond memory I have from the 90s when I was a kid. And even now with the Adult Party Show I still love it. Ren and Stimpy grew up with there fans and The Adult Party Show proves it.
Seasons 1-5 are available on DVD.
Ren and Stimpy The Adult Party Show the Lost Episodes are as well. (All 6 Episodes with tons of Bonus Content).

Like a Prayer
This could be one of my favorite songs and videos done by Madonna. Its an iconic song of the 80s and very controversial at the time. For the burning crosses in the vid/black Jesus figure and such. It was all over MTV and became the Number 1 song of 1989. You have all probley seen it/heard it. If not. You should have. Just kidding. But for all you people who live under a rock check it out. haha

Music Television
When MTV was Music Television. Not like it is today. Music Videos of all kinds should be played 24/7. The main stream music should be in the mix with other not so mains stream artist. This way all types of music would be appreciated. The 80s and most of the 90s is where MTV was at its prime. Today there needs to be NO more shows like The Hills, Teen Wolf, 16 an Pregnant and Jersey Shore on MTV. Which was a channel created to souley be dedicated to Music.

Don't Get Bent Out of Shape
Another song written by Beck Hansen. “Dont Get Bent Out of Shape” appeared on the demo tape Dont Get Bent Out of Shape released in the early 90s (Pre-Mellow Gold).
Beck again shows his skill in song writing. Its just great. His pre-Mellow Gold days, in my opinion, produced his best material.
The lyric “though your heart is all twisted/and every word seems fake/dont get bent out of shape” could relate to someone’s heart that has been broken.
“Though your sick of your self/and its to late to escape…” This could mean someone that is utterly depressed with them selfs.
The constant “Dont get bent out of shape, my friend” makes it feel like Beck is talking to you. It could help the heart broken or depressed person. This message applies to all of life’s hurtles. Don’t let life put you down. Finding love will happen, sadness/guilt will turn to happiness. Find the positive not the negative. Dont dwell on the bad. Life is to short for that.
This nice folk song is very reassuring. “Dont Get Bent out of Shape” by Beck.

Earthworm Jim!
I love Earthworm Jim. Hes a popular character from the 90s. When I was a kid I used to watch the cartoon show and play the many video games based a round him. Clayfighter 63 1/3 and Earthworm Jim 3D for the Nintendo 64 was by far may favorite.

Courtship Dating.
CRYSTAL CASTLES are in my top three favorite bands of all time. When I saw them live in August I couldn’t believe it. One of the better live shows I have ever gone too.
Crystal Castles style of music is quit unique. Its a mix between 8 bit sounds (that sound familiar to you if you have ever played an old 80s arcade game) and punk/thrash. The soothing melodies of Ethan Kath and the chaotic vocals of singer Alice Glass surprisingly work well together. Mix the two and you get a sound that you either love or extremely hate. I for one love it.
There debut self titled album released in 2008 and song “Alice Practice” became a overnight hit. Other popular songs include “Courtship Dating” and “Crimewave”.
Crystal Castles sophomore album Crystal Castles II (also self titled) released in 2010. The band has gone in a slightly different direction this time around. The track “Celestica” could be on MTV and is well liked by many people. But the album still is that signature Crystal Castles sound, with the loud track “Doe Deer” and the favorite “Baptism”.
The band recently just appeared on “Jimmy Kimmal Live” in the United States and they also appeared on “Later With Jools Holland” in the United Kingdom.
Over all Kath and Glass are doing really well and lets hope that there are many more great songs to come in the future.

BURN
“Will you look at that girl down on the street? Making every little part of me sick to see That killjoy kind of loving they teach I’d rather be a drip in the bathroom sink…”
“Burn” written in the early days of Becks career. It gives you a feeling of shame and defeat if you relate to the lyrics in anyway. The verse above reminds me of myself and probly many others can relate. How you have a girl you want to talk to, but you cant because you don’t have the courage. When you finally do the opportunity has passed. Its really makes “every part of me sick to see”. I don’t want that “killjoy kind of loving”. I want it to matter. To many people just think they have found love just to say they have a girlfriend or boyfriend. For example, I know a guy who I think deep down is just with his girl to show us and others that he has a girlfriend. That is not love. Shamefull really. It makes you feel bad for people and wonder if you yourself will ever find some one. This song also tells how he (Beck) thinks about how others feel about him, useless like a “brush stroke in the plan, an expendable man” or a “house plant”. But on the other hand, this song isn’t all that depressing. It makes you think about how your life is going. It gets you to act and change if you don’t agree on how it is going. It starts you on the way to talk to that girl. Don’t let life “Burn” you. So thank you Beck. Just remember “Your ultimate point of power in your life is now”.
